Spiritual direction is a ministry of listening. For a sacred hour, two people attend together to the presence of God in one person's life: its ordinary days and its thresholds, its sorrows and its quiet hopes. The space we share is holy ground. It is not mine. I am simply entrusted with its care.

As a grief-informed spiritual director, I offer that space with unhurried attention and without agenda. My role is not to fix or to steer. I listen alongside you for the movements of the Spirit, ask gentle questions, and honour your freedom to respond to God in your own way. You may be standing at an ending, longing for deeper water, or simply wondering where God is in the life you are living. Whatever brings you, you are welcome to come as you are.

Much of my work also involves accompanying those who grieve. Grief often wears a hidden face, and we live in a world that has largely forgotten how to listen. Through one-on-one care, grief and care circles, and talks with organizations and congregations, I hope to make room for sorrow to be spoken and heard.

My own story has been shaped by many places. I was born in a well-governed British Hong Kong and have made my home in Toronto and now Vancouver over the last 33+ years. I was first formed in the Catholic tradition, nurtured for many years in Baptist and Christian and Missionary Alliance communities, and now worship within the Anglican tradition. Living across cultures and languages has taught me to listen carefully to stories that cross boundaries, and to trust that God is present in each one.

My formal preparation includes a two-and-a-half-year training program in spiritual direction through Anam Cara Ministries, a Certificate in Death, Dying, and Grief from Tyndale Seminary, and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius in Daily Life (19th Annotation) through New College Berkeley. I am currently completing my first Master's degree at Regent College in Vancouver.
