Welcome! Glad you are here!
“In the silence of the heart, God will speak.” ~ St. (Mother) Teresa of Calcutta
I am a Master’s degree student at Regent College, a cross-denominational graduate school of theology in Canada, and a trained grief-informed Spiritual Director♱. It is my vocational commitment to offer sacred space to listen, to tend, and to witness individuals as they seek to encounter God in every aspect of life, discerning where the Holy Trinity is inviting their attention.
Spiritual direction offers the directee a sacred space of belonging even in the depths and at the fringes of life. It invites curiosity to lean into those divine whispers that orient the directee towards a transcendent union with the Holy One. Anticipating thresholds, sensing the thirst for a deep well, or pondering when to mark an end to herald a beginning — such moments are nothing less than divine calls to attentive listening and human flourishing. My rich cultural heritage spans a well-governed British colony in Asia and Canada (Toronto and Vancouver), where my education, vocation, family, and life continue to shape my story. This blend of diverse locationalities, histories, cultures, and languages has helped me understand others and their boundary-crossing stories. Supporting directees in beholding their true worth and the sanctity of their souls is my most meaningful work.
"Everybody has a vocation to some form of life-work. However, behind that call (and deeper than that call), everybody has a vocation to be a person to be fully and deeply human in Christ Jesus." ~ Brennan Manning, Franciscan Priest and writer
My spiritual foundation is rooted in the Catholic tradition (British-Hong Kong), enriched over years within Baptist and Missionary Alliance communities (Canada), and presently embodied within the sacramental Anglican tradition (Canada). My approach to Spiritual Direction emphasizes a Christocentric focus, guided by Spirit-led listening, a non-manipulative presence, and compassionate inquiry that honors individual agency. I have completed a 2.5-year formal training in spiritual direction through Anam Cara Ministries (US), engaged in profound spiritual formation and discipline through the Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life (19th Annotation) by St. Ignatius of Loyola at New College Berkeley (Graduate Theological Union, US), and earned a Death, Dying, and Grief Certificate from Tyndale Seminary (Canada). Furthermore, the sacred dimension of waiting has profoundly shaped my capacity to serve those navigating life's profound uncertainties.
“Between God and the soul, there is no between.”~ Julia of Norwich
A person’s placedness, socio-cultural roots, and lived experiences all telegraph their spiritual biography. My hope is that you find comfort in the nearness of Christ, who can unveil what is hidden and breathe new meaning and life into your story. Come rest, be supported, be metamorphosed by the love of YHWH, and be guided and illuminated on a Spiritual Direction journey with me.
