Welcome! Glad you are here!
“In the silence of the heart, God will speak.” ~ Mother Teresa
I am a Master’s student at Regent College (a cross-denominational graduate school of theology in Canada) and a trained Spiritual Director♱, who takes delight in holding sacred space to listen, guide, and bear witness to individuals as they seek to encounter God in every aspect of life, and discern where the Holy Trinity is inviting attention.
Spiritual direction offers the directee a sacred space of belonging even in the depths and at the fringes of life. It invites curiosity to lean into those divine whispers that orient the directee toward a transcendent union with the Holy One. Anticipating thresholds, sensing the thirst for a deep well, or wondering when to mark an ending as to mark a beginning, is nothing short of a divine invitation to wholly listening and human flourishing.
My rich cultural heritage spans a British-influenced colony in Asia (Hong Kong) and Canada (Toronto and Vancouver), where my education, vocation, family, and life continue to shape my story. This blend of diverse locationalities, histories, cultures, and languages has helped me understand others and their boundary-crossing stories. Supporting directees in beholding their true worth and the sanctity of their souls is my most delightful work.
“The human soul doesn’t want to be advised, fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed - to be seen, heard and acknowledged exactly as it is.” ~ Parker Palmer
My spiritual roots were first formed in the Catholic tradition (HK), then nurtured for many years in the Baptist and Missionary Alliance traditions. Now, my spiritual journey continues within the sacramental Anglican tradition. Compassionate listening and non-manupulative enquiries are the bedrock of spiritual direction. My formal training and certificate in spiritual directorship with Anam Cara Ministries (US); spiritual formation via the St. Ignatius of Loyola's Spiritual Exercises in Daily Life - 19th Annotation - through New College Berkeley at the Graduate Theological Union (US); and the Death, Dying, and Grief Certificate from Tyndale Seminary (Canada) have anchored me to tend to people traversing complexities in life.
“Between God and the soul, there is no between.” ~ Julia of Norwich
A person’s placedness, socio-cultural heritage, and lived experiences all telegraph their spiritual biography. My prayer is that you find solace in the nearness of Christ, who can unveil things from concealment and breathe life and meaning into your story. Come rest, be companioned, be absorbed and metamorphosed by the love of YHWH, and be illuminated on a Spiritual Direction journey with me.
